Things I'll Miss About China

Since getting back this year, I've been mentally making a list of the things I WILL and WON'T miss when I eventually leave China. But I've decided that I think it's best to stick to the things I WILL miss for now :)
  • Street BBQ
  • $0.15 bus rides and $1.30 taxis
  • Being the fastest swimmer in the pool and being told in simple english that I'm "very good" (this pretty much only happens here)
  • The vegetable lady
  • The nicely manicured bushes, grass, trees and the pond in our complex
  • Strolling past as people dance in the park in the evening
  • Cheap manicures and pedicures
  • Broken english/chinese conversations
  • Actually being able to understand and stay SOME things in chinese
  • Chop sticks (though I'm sure I can find those elsewhere or bring back a life supply)
  • Getting special white person treatment when it is to my benefit... (this is no lie. ask anyone. ask Canadian Sara (white person). ask Canadian Bei (chinese))
  • having an Ayi (the lady who cleans my house for a ridiculously cheap price)
  • $0.50 bumper cars
  • to be continued.......
Please anticipate a future Venn Diagram posting of this information. (A Venn Diagram is a graphic organizer commonly used by teachers. Feel free to google it for further information)
Side note: Sara says I am being patronizing. Feel free to look up that word too. I just did.
