well it was a good thing I decided to stay home from the Halloween Party on Saturday night and do laundry, dishes and have some needed quiet time. because since Sunday morning we've had no water. Oh we've had a trickle - enough to wet my toothbrush for about 5 seconds - but then it stops. No showers. No flushing toilet. hmmmm. delightful.
it is times like this when I dislike the language barrier the most. because even if there was a reason behind this madness, we couldn't know it. gahhh I might be a bit frustrated at a few moments.
I PLANNED to exercise more, cook more and save money this week, but alas I can't do that when I can't shower or clean up my mess.
At least all our other friends' water is working and one kindly shared with us last night. I guess it's also a good thing tomorrow is Halloween and we don't have to look or smell terribly good. right...?
I've also been reminded how I really can brush my teeth without getting toothpaste all over my face... if only I try. I'd nearly forgotten my neat camping technique. Thank goodness for that reminder.
The last thing that made this evening much more exciting for a short while was taking advantage of my monstrously large pockets in my jacket and filling them with a face cloth, toothbrush, toothpaste and face wash to use in the Starbucks bathroom at the mall before coming home. Yes I did. It brings back fond memories of our summer 2000 family road trip to Colorado in our motorhome where we parked and slept in Walmart parking lots and stuffed our hoody pockets with our toothbrushes to use the Walmart sinks. This is not the first time.
I suppose I should be happy my house isn't being flooded by a hurricane. And that the weather is cold soooooo I guess I don't REALLY need to shower everyday anyways ;)
I'm hoping the water returns soon. Hope.
oh and interesting fact we learned tonight in our chinese water investigation - the first floor has water. Just not us. No water pressure....
