Student: (holding tummy and appears to be in pain)
Miss Goshulak: “Are you OK?”
Student: “No. Pain… don’t know word…”
Miss Goshulak: “Are you sick? Are you going to vomit?”
Student: “No, don’t know word… pain” (clutching tummy)
Miss Goshulak: “Do you need to poop?”
Student: “Yes.”
Miss Goshulak: “Then go to the bathroom.”
Student: “But, no paper.”
Miss Goshulak: “Go ask a friend for some!”
YES, true story. After teaching kindergarten last year I would have thought these days are over, but NO, even in Grade 10 I apparently need to tell students to go use the toilet! Haha!
