Farewell my dear little car

If it were up to me my dear little rusty Subaru Chaser, I’d keep you so we could hang out again next summer. Unfortunately my parents don’t want you loitering in their yard anymore and killing the grass you’re parked on. So instead, I made a deal with my brother and he’s going to take care of you now.

We have had some great times together for many years – 8 to be exact. Remember when…

· I first drove you at night with my friends and couldn’t figure out how to turn your headlights on

· My aunt suggested I call you a “Chase-him” instead of a Chaser

· I would sing loudly with your windows down as we drove to university and many other places

· We picked up a couple guys who’d been drinking a little much at the Penticton canal and got paid a nice sum for driving them back to their car – BUT then your muffler broke and from then on you wouldn’t be quiet

· I drove you over and back on an underground sprinkler created a geyser in my friend’s front yard

· I shifted gears with your difficult clutch

· Amy and I had to leave you at the bottom of the ski hill turn off in April b/c you couldn’t make it up in the sudden snow fall

· Both of your window cranks were stripped in the middle of the summer and you had no A/C

· We hung out with rad people or you went with me to visit them!

Ahh, those were the days

But don’t worry; my brother will take care of you. He might drive you farther, faster and scream more out your windows, but it’ll be ok. Maybe you want that. Sorry, I guess I never asked. And who knows maybe I’ll still get to see you next summer. But incase not, know that I’ll miss you when I’m back.
